Shipment Tracking System (STS) Features
Basic modules:-

STS has excellent interfaces with call-center infrastructure to bring in high call-center efficiency and caller satisfaction.
STS is not just a tracking solution, it has many features, let’s divide the solution into three modules:-
1. Tracking Module.
2. Information Module.
3. Notification Module.
1. Tracking module :-

1. This module is based on IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Technology which allows the customer to interact with the system using just normal phone keypad entries.
2. Tracking Module is mainly concerned with giving the exact location of the shipment to the customer, though it can be extended to give any information (Dynamic or Static) to the caller, such as (Arrival port – ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) – Official requested documents).
3. Providing information for single shipment by shipment number.
4. Providing information for multiple shipments for single client by client ID (for example).
5. During the call, if the customer presses (*), a SMS will be sent instantly to his registered mobile number carrying the information he’s currently hearing, or he will be asked to enter a mobile number to receive the message on.
Other tracking module features :-

6. Online tracking service makes it possible to determine current position of the shipment through the company web site.
7. To make an enquiry, you need to indicate the shipment policy number.
8. Multiple enquiries allow the customer to know the current location of his shipments with one click.
9. Can be integrated with agents’ website to serve their customers’ enquiries.
Information Module :-

This module is based on IVR technology and is concerned with providing the caller with Dynamic Information over the phone.
The module provides voice menus which the caller can interact with very easily using normal key pad telephones.
The caller gets to choose between ports and then listen to the available ships schedules.
Notification Module:-

It is mainly concerned with notifying the customer of any eventby SMS and Email.
1. Confirmation:- The customer is notified by SMS & Email directly after processing an order to confirm it, and It can also be used for confirming payments.
2. Notification:-When the shipment arrives to its destination, an Email & SMS will be sent to the customer alongside any additional data, Customers will be notified instantly with SMS & Email in case of delays, Any change in the schedule happens, customer will be notified with, alongside with the new schedule, and It can also be used to inform your customer about anything, it’s not just about shipping, for example, if you open a new branch, you can tell all your customers about, with a single click!! .
